HD Projects are a unique structural construction company specializing in the supply and installation of permanent formwork systems located in New South Wales Australia.
Dee Teal worked directly with HD Projects for the website re-design and later contacted me to develop the custom theme based on the design mockups.
In order to showcase the client’s construction projects, I created a Projects custom post type with a customized back-end admin screen specifically tailored for managing the project’s content and image gallery.
A custom settings page controls the company’s contact information that displays throughout the website in the header, footer and contact page. This information is outputted with Schema.org markup for added SEO benefits using a custom widget or shortcode.
In the front-end, the website features a responsive posts grid in the homepage that displays featured projects, as well as a filterable projects archive page that makes it easy for visitors to navigate projects based on their category.

I contracted Alexis to help me out with the development for the theme for a couple of client websites and I couldn’t be happier with the resulting work. Alexis’ approach to theme development is so client focused and intent on making the site as easy to manage as possible, that it has heavily influenced my own development going forward.
My only hesitation in recommending him is that once word gets out about the quality of his work, his excellent work ethic and his quick turnaround I’m afraid he’s going to be too busy.
