Man Cave Sydney

Man Cave Sydney is Australia’s first exclusive men only cosmetic medicine clinic located in the heart of downtown Sydney’s business district. As a new clinic, Man Cave Sydney not only needed their brand developed, but also a functional and easy-to-update website that could grow appropriately with their business.

Cath Hughes of Phase Creative developed their brand and designed a beautiful website, then contacted me to develop the custom theme.

When developing the website, my goal was to make the theme as easy to use and flexible as possible.

One of the solutions involved creating a custom image widget that allows the user to create call-to-action image links easily. When used together with other instances of the same widget, it can be used to create multi-column layouts by assigning a column class to each widget. This allows for flexible layout management and re-ordering of the images through the drag-and-drop widget’s interface in the back-end.

(As a side note, this custom image widget was the original inspiration for what later became the Easy Widget Columns plugin.)

A customized WordPress editor adds content formatting options while reflecting the same styles you see in the front-end of the website. This creates a more intuitive editing experience by allowing the user to experience their content in the back-end exactly the same way as it will display for visitors.
